Will Boris Johnson win the parliamentary majority he needs to ‘get Brexit done’? Or do voters want to move in a different direction? And with plenty of Northern Ireland’s 18 constituency races too close to call, what will this election mean for NI’s representation at Westminster after nearly three years without devolved power-sharing at Stormont?

Join Northern Slant and sponsors LucidTalk and Lighthouse Communications to consider what the opinion polls are saying ahead of one of the most significant and unpredictable general elections for some time. In addition to our guest panel, we’ll hear from Bill White (LucidTalk) and Dr Kevin Cunningham (LucidTalk and Ireland Thinks – and former Targeting & Analysis Manager for the UK Labour Party). Bill and Kevin will provide an insight into what the polls can tell us about the race so far – and what they can’t tell us.

Helping us make sense of #GE2019 are our panellists:

  • Alex Kane, Irish News, The News Letter, BBC among other platforms
  • Dr Elodie Fabre, Queen’s University Belfast
  • Daithí McKay, Public affairs consultant and former MLA
  • Lisa Whitten, Northern Slant
  • Kingsley Donaldson, Lighthouse Communications

The audience will have the chance to take part in all discussions and also to participate in live e-polling on the night, so come along and be part of a conversation about our shared democratic process.
